In addition to a fairly standard keyboard with programmable F-keys, there are also programmable hot keys for controlling music, opening email and browser and calculator (top of keyboard above numeric keypad). On the left side are two buttons for quickly closing an open window or going back (just make sure the window you want to close is the active window or you can end up shutting down something else by mistake -- been there, done that.) They can also be programmed for other tasks.
I've seen other wireless keyboards where the receiver was easy to mistake for a mouse. This one is obviously not a mouse. The keyboard comes with a basic, comfortable wireless laser mouse with programmable buttons and scroll wheel.
The software for setting up the keyboard and mouse options is super simple to use and offers a lot of options for programming the hot keys and lets you know when batteries are low, etc.
Not a ton of bells and whistles, but it's a good wireless keyboard/mouse combo for a low price with some decent personalization features.
