I often cover items that require you to open your computer to install them. To open your system will require some tools, and it is definitely best if you are working inside your computer to have dedicated tools for the task. You don't want to use tools that might be greasy or magnetized inside your computer. The Cables to Go Field Service Engineer Tool Kit is a kit that has everything you could possibly need inside it for working on your computer.

Features of the Cables to Go Field Service Engineer Tool Kit

As I mentioned before I can't think of a tool you would need for working on a computer that is not included in this tool kit. Everything from simple screwdrivers and a parts box to a multimeter and cable crimper is included. The case is a hard sided design to protect the tools inside from damage.

Inside the case you have three compartments. One is secured to the underside of the clamshell case lid via buttons. It holds the screwdrivers and is easily removed if you want to set the most frequently tools it holds beside you. Under that is another rigid board that is removable sporting pliers, crimpers and more that covers the final and largest compartment.

The bottom compartment is separated into smaller areas to keep things secure by Velcro dividers to make smaller areas. This is where your parts box, multimeter and a kit of open ended wrenches resides. There's also extra space in this compartment for you to add additional tools if needed to the kit to further customize it.

The tools inside the kit itself are of good quality. Sure if you built your toolkit piecemeal from carefully chosen vendors, you could build a tool kit with higher quality components, but it would cost you far more money to do it. A complete list of the included tools is as follows:

  • Soldering iron

    Phillips—5.0 x 75 mm, 3.2 x 75 mm
