Features of the Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse
The most conflicting feature of the Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse is the rechargeable design. Rechargeable anythings are great when you remember to recharge them, forget and you will curse your inability to just replace the batteries. The Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse also features a Fast RF wireless connection that rivals the speed of a corded USB connection.
My favorite feature of the Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse is the extra controls that allow you to navigate back and forth through your browser history, located for use by your thumb on the right side of the mouse. The Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse is a right hand only design, lefty's are left out.
The Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse also features a scrolling system than not only allows you to go up and down, but left and right as well. The Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse even has a cruise control system to allow you to set long pages to automatically scroll while you read.
The Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse is compatible with both PC and Mac and can be connected either via USB or PS2 connectors.
Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse in Use
The rechargeable batteries are an issue for me. While it saves you money in the long run because you don't have to keep buying batteries, if you forget to recharge the MX1000, you better have a backup mouse. The battery life is very good with the Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse, that is not the issue. The long battery life is partly to blame (at least that's my story) because I have to charge the Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse only once weekly, I end up forgetting and it goes dead on me. This may not be an issue for other users.
The thumb navigation controls are one thing I can't live without. I find my self tapping on the side of every mouse I place my hand on trying to navigate. Once you get used to that feature, it is hard to use a lesser mouse.
The Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse also includes three led lights to show you the status of the battery charge and remind you to set it on the charge base. If that is, you remember to look at them. Overall the Logitech MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse is a great cordless mouse that is not affected by lag and is one of the best cordless mice I have used in a long time.
