Description
Guide Review - Saitek Eclipse II KeyboardFeatures of the Saitek Eclipse II KeyboardLighting My favorite feature of the Saitek Eclipse II is the three different Backlight colors to choose from. You get red, blue and purple choices and they all look good. The keys are laser etched as well so the light actually comes through the key tops and illuminates the letters, not just the spaces between the keys. Dimmer Control Another interesting feature, that is a first so far as I know is the addition of a dimmer switch. Rather than just having on or two presets for light level like most keyboards, you get full control over the light level with the Eclipse II. Wrist Rest Saitek included a wrist wrest to make using the 104 key keyboard more comfortable. In addition to the standard keys, you also get multimedia keys as well. Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard in UseTyping feel on the Eclipse II is good, and much better than on many gaming type keyboards. The keys are very responsive and not spongy feeling. The backlit keys look good in all colors, though the lighting could be a bit brighter for my tastes. Gaming with the Eclipse II is good, though the keyboard has nothing special for gaming short of the backlit keys. Which is not to say the keyboard isn't good, the Eclipse II is very good. Overall, the Eclipse II is a great keyboard that both gamers and general computer users will enjoy. Suggested Reading |
