The Bottom Line

The Deck Legend Gaming Keyboard is a great keyboard. While I think you can get better sheer gaming keyboards in the Logitech G15 or the Zboard, neither of those keyboards come close to the typing feel the Deck Legend Gaming Keyboard provides.
Pros
  • Great typing feel
  • Cool backlight color choices
Cons
  • Expensive

Description

  • Keytops are easy to exchange with optional gamer keycaps for a custom look.
  • The Deck Legend is one of the most expensive keyboards around with an MSRP of $159.
  • Letters will never wear off thanks to being molded into the keys rather than printed.
  • You could find a better sheer gaming keyboard, but not one with the superb typing feel of the Deck.

Guide Review - Deck Legend Gaming Keyboard

Features of the Deck Legend Gaming Keyboard

The feature that I liked best about the Deck Legend Gaming Keyboard was the choices in the back lighting colors. I choose the toxic green color for my review. Blue is getting tired with many keyboard makers using that color, and red is not far behind.

The Legend is available in toxic green, fire red, ice blue and gold. Each individual key on the Deck Legend has its own LED. The Deck's lighting puts every other backlit keyboard I have used to shame.

The Legend is also available with either USB or PS2 connections. The physical measurements of the Deck Legend are 18.5" long x 7" deep x 2" high (with the feet raised). The Legend also comes with a one year warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee.

Deck Legend in Use

The Deck Legend is a cool keyboard, it looks great at night with the green glow. The biggest surprise with the Legend was the typing feel. This keyboard will be loved by touch typists. Each key press is met with a satisfying click leaving no doubt as to wether or not the key was pressed.

For gaming you can get optional keycaps that allow you to replace the normal WASD keys with caps that include both letters and arrows for movement controls. The spacing on Deck Legend was tighter making me have to get used to it after working with the larger G15.

Even if you are not a gamer you might want to consider the Deck Legend simply for its typing feel. Gamers could find a keyboard with more gamer oriented features, and at a lower cost.
