Rather than soft fabric or nylon Logitech used an exo-shell casing for the front of the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack. This semi-ridged material offers great protection for your laptop and other gear, plus helps the backpack keep its shape. The padded notebook sleeve is in the middle of the bag rather than at the back. This puts more padding between your computer and the outside world, helping to keep it safer.
Inside the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack are a number of storage compartments from areas for files and paper work to zippered pouches and mesh pockets. There are also three external zippered pouches, one of which is on the shoulder straps and features a headphone pass though for your MP3 player.
The Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is designed to stand up when you set it down, rather than falling over. When unzipped the bag opens widely to make getting gear in and out a snap. One of the best features of the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is the red/orange fabric used on the inside of the bag. This color fabric provides fantastic visibility inside the bag, making it easy to find the items you are looking for.
Carrying the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is very comfortable; the shoulder straps are back are well padded. A carry handle is also located on top of the bag so you can simply pick it up, rather than putting it on your back if desired. I very much like the sculpted look of the bag , which looks small, but still has lots of internal storage.
My one gripe about the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is that once you stuff it full of gear or clothes, the zippers are hard to open and close. This issue didn’t show up until the bag was at its fullest, then the zippers were particularly hard to open around the corners of the bag. Even with the zipper issue, the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is still my pick for the best laptop bag around.
