Description
Guide Review - Dell SP1908FP 19in LCD Display ReviewThe Dell SP1908FP 19in LCD Display has a very nice looking black and silver design. The display measures in at 16.1 W x 5.7 D x 16.6 H and weighs 11.9 pounds with the stand. The viewable image size is 19 and the native resolution is 1280 x 1042 with a 0.294mm dot pitch. The gray-to-gray response time is 5ms and input options include DVI-D and VGA. Those who like to watch protected HD content from Blu-ray or HD DVD will like the fact that the Dell SP1908FP 19in LCD Display is HDCP compliant. Brightness is 300 CD/m2 and the contrast ratio is 800:1 with 160-degree viewing angle vertical and horizontal. The display also has a built-in four-port USB hub. 19 inch LCDs are one of the more common sizes of PC gaming displays, and the Dell SP1908FP 19in LCD Display performs very well for PC gaming. During testing on several PC games from Battlefield 2142 to Quake 4, I noticed no ghosting or tearing of the on screen images. To test the HDCP enabled playback I watched Casino Royale on Blu-ray and found the playback to be fantastic with vivid colors and realistic skin tones. The display also performs well for general PC work and is sized right for those who prefer multiple displays on their desk. Web browsing is easy with good contrast and easily readable text. The only real dull spot for me in the performance of the Dell SP1908FP 19in LCD Display is the display stand. The only adjustment offered in the display is tilt for the screen angle. There is no height adjustment or lateral adjustability, unless you consider moving the entire display to be lateral adjustment. With that being the only real fault, I think the vast majority of users will love the Dell SP1908FP 19in LCD Display, it performs well and is priced right at around $219. |
