Guide Review - Razer Mako 2.1 Speaker System
Setting the Razer Mako 2.1 Speaker System is easy with only one cable from your PC to the computer being needed. You can connect a second input source like a DVD player or TV to the Mako system as well at the same time via RCA inputs.
The only lacking point for the Mako system is the touch sensitive control. I found the controls were slow to respond to input and that it was difficult to get the exact volume setting I wanted. The sound is controlled by sliding your finger around the circular control pod. Controls for bass level, mute and the input are on the desktop control pod as well. The control pod also has an input on the front for line in and headphones. The speakers mute automatically when headphones are inserted.
Watching a move with the Razer Mako 2.1 Speaker System is great. The subwoofer offers fantastic bass so you can hear and feel explosions. The two small satellites reproduce voice tracks and other sound swell. The bass never overpowers the voices so you can hear the dialog in your movies.
Gaming with the Razer Mako 2.1 Speaker System is excellent as well. The THX certified speakers offer great bass so explosions are robust and deep sounding. The high and mid range sounds are great with things like breaking glass reproduced realistically. Listening to music is a great use for the Razer Mako 2.1 Speaker System making these great speakers for music fans with lots of digital tracks on their computers. The bass is deep and mid and high range sounds are crisp and sound very good.
