Description
Guide Review - JBL Creature II Multimedia SpeakersFeatures of the JBL Creature II Multimedia SpeakersPerhaps the coolest feature of the JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers are the sci-fi design. The design of the satellites reminds me of the ghosts from Pac Man cartoons from my youth. Those too old or too young to recall Pac Man will likely think of them as space ship like in appearance. The satellite speakers have little green LEDs under them that give a greenish glow when in low light environments. The volume is controlled via two pressure sensitive switches on the right satellite. The sub has controls for bass and treble on the top as well. The satellite speakers themselves are small and will be easy to position on most desks. The JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers connect to your PC or Mac via a standard mini-stereo jack. The use of a standard mini-stereo jack on the JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers means they will also attach to many other electronic products such as your iPod, MP3 player or walkman. JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers in UseThe JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers sound very good, though I felt they are weak in the mid range. Gaming with the JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers was fun. The bass output is deep enough for realistic explosions and the highs were good for things like breaking glass. Mid range sounds like ricochets were not as robust as other sound ranges. I noticed the same things while watching movies or listening to music on the JBL Creature II Multimedia Speakers as well. |
