Guide Review - iSound Plasma PC Speakers & iPod Dock
The first thing you notice about the iSound Plasma PC Speakers & iPod Dock is the large glass globe. Plug the speakers in, turn up the volume and hook the iSound Plasma to your PC or your MP3 player and you can sit for hours watching the plasma dance around in tune to the music. Touch the globe and the plasma will follow your hand, which is very cool.
The speakers use a standard headphone jack meaning that the iSound Plasma will work with virtually every device on the market that makes music. Arrayed around the base of the plasma ball are four speakers that have good sound quality. I found the bass a bit too weak for my tastes, but the overall sound quality was good.
If the plain round globe is too boring for you other globes in the shape of a heart, dolphin and a skull are available to exchange. The plasma changes in intensity with the level of volume the speakers are putting out as well. The louder eh sound from the speakers the more plasma you see, and the lower the volume the less plasma you get. At an MSRP of $149.99, this in one cool set of speakers that can be used on your PC or MP3 player that wont break the bank and adds lots of cool to your desktop. If you are an audiophile these might not be the best choice for your speakers, but those of us looking for good sound and a slick look will love the iSound Plasma.
