If you're feeling flat and if you're irritated by the number of USB receivers you have sticking out your computer, Logitech's new products may interest you. The company recently announced its Notebook Kit MK605, an accessories bundle that combines a pivoting "riser" (or keyboard stand) with a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.
The most notable thing is that the keyboard and mouse both use the company's "Unifying" technology. The Unifying tech lets you connect up to six other Unifying-compatible devices with a single receiver. This means you won't be left hunting down the correct receiver for each device if you like to switch out your peripherals. Only Logitech peripherals can be used with the receiver, of course, but it's a convenient option to have.
The other plus of Unifying is that the receiver is designed to be so small that it can be left in a laptop even when it's not being used -- no more worrying about damaging your USB ports and receivers when you pack the computer away.
