Century Releases 4.3 Inch USB-Powered Monitor

Friday October 10, 2008
A 4 inch monitor

It may be small, but it works.

In today's world of bigger-is-better, High Definition, widescreen glorification of everything digital, it's interesting to see something reminiscent of the original Game Boy. Century has put out an incredibly tiny, 4.3 inch LCD monitor that doesn't function anywhere near even the minimal level we expect as a standard from larger LCD monitors, but it costs just as much.

At just under $200, the monitor has an odd 800x480 resolution and no specs to speak of. The one cool thing is, it draws all of its power entirely from a USB connection, which could have some interesting applications. Other than that, however, it's just an incredibly odd display.

So, while it's no LG 22" Widescreen Flatron monitor, the price is comparable, and if you're an eccentric person who is fascinated by tiny things, this could be just the monitor you're looking for.
