Logitech's New Mouse and Keyboard Ride the Wireless Wave

Tuesday September 16, 2008

Logitech introduced its wireless Wave Keyboard last year as part of its “Cordless Desktop” concept, and now the popular component will be available in a bundle with Logitech’s MX1100 wireless mouse.

The package, titled the “Cordless Desktop Wave Pro,” claims advanced wireless connectivity and extra long battery life. The MX1100 mouse in particular promises to last six weeks on a single 7-hour charge from the included USB cable, which will allow the user to recharge the mouse while still using it.

Both the keyboard and mouse feature an ergonomic design, with the unique and smooth plastic molding geared directly toward providing a more comfortable computing experience. According to Logitech, the Wave Keyboard’s traditional QWERTY key lineup is easier to adapt to than your average ergonomic keyboard, many of which involve keypads that are separated into halves, or which feature other alternative key configurations.

The Cordless Desktop Wave Pro package will hit U.S. shelves in October for an MSRP of $129.99. The MX1100 mouse will be available separately for $79.99.
